Wynne Cabinet Brings New and Experienced Leadership: Mayor Crombie
Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie issued this statement following the Wynne government cabinet shuffle:
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, we look forward to strengthening our relations with the Wynne government and its new cabinet.
“This cabinet reflects a balance of both new and experienced leadership.
“I would like to recognize Ontario’s new Minister of Municipal Affairs Bill Mauro, and Chris Ballard, who will serve as Minister of Housing.
“I welcome the news that Minister Del Duca will continue to lead the important transportation file.
“Minister Del Duca continues to be an important and experienced partner for the City of Mississauga as we work toward breaking gridlock and building regionally-integrated transit. In particular, the Hurontario LRT – the largest infrastructure investment in Mississauga history.
“We are also encouraged that Mississauga will continue to have a strong voice at the cabinet table. Mississauga South MPP Charles Sousa continues in his important role as Minister of Finance. Mississauga East-Cooksville MPP Dipika Damerla is Ontario’s new Minister for Seniors Affairs.
“We look forward to working with this new cabinet. Together, we will make important and lasting investments in Ontario’s third largest city, Mississauga.”
