New York; London; Mumbai; Sydney; Tokyo and cities around the world, all need to innovate to strengthen their economies and generate new economic development opportunities. As Canada’s sixth largest city, Mississauga is no different from any other global community.
I decided to run for office in large part because I wanted Mississauga to be a place where people, of all ages, are able to find jobs and gain much-needed career experience; where innovation and entrepreneurship are encouraged and supported; and where every resident has the opportunity to pursue their ideas here at home.
For these reasons, the City of Mississauga, the Research Innovation Commercialization (RIC) Centre and Angel One Investor Network will host First Look – Mississauga’s first ever angel investor networking opportunity.
I am delighted that thriving new companies including Web4Realty will be participating. Kosta Panagoulias, co-founder of Web4Realty, said “The First Look Angel Investor Event is a tremendous initiative by Mayor Crombie to support growing local businesses. We look forward for the opportunity to network with professional investors and other thriving businesses in the community,”
Focusing on innovation means creating a thriving, dynamic and smart city, where people have unrivalled opportunities to succeed.
