STATEMENT: Mayor Crombie Tests Positive for COVID-19
“I have unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19. I am following all public health guidelines and will continue to isolate at home. I remain in good spirits and thankfully at this time, my symptoms are mild.
COVID cases continue to quickly increase across our community and the Omicron variant is highly transmissible.
I encourage all Mississaugans to book their first, second or booster shots as soon as possible.
More capacity to support our booster campaign is being brought online every day, through the holidays and the coming weeks. Please continue to check for appointment availability.
It’s also important to wear a mask, rapid test, limit your contacts and stay at home if you’re sick.
I’m am incredibly thankful for all the healthcare workers across Mississauga who are once again stepping up to the plate to get boosters into arms. We owe them our endless gratitude.
Getting vaccinated, masking, staying home and testing if you are unwell remain the best way to help keep our families, friends and neighbours safe and healthy this holiday season.”
