Mayor Crombie Marks Orthodox Easter 2018
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, I join with our City’s Orthodox Christian community to celebrate Easter.
“The Easter season is a beautiful and thoughtful time of prayer, reflection, and religious observance for Orthodox Christians. Families will rejoice in the resurrection of Jesus Christ following his crucifixion.
“As Orthodox Christians attend church services, may they find a renewal and strengthening of their faith from the readings of scripture, and the singing of hymns.
“This weekend, I plan on joining our City’s Orthodox Christian community at the Church of The Virgin Mary and Saint Athanasius as they mark this special occasion.
“ Once again, I offer my best wishes to Mississauga’s active, thriving and engaged Orthodox Christian faith community, as members gather this Easter to celebrate their faith and make new and lasting memories together.”
