NEWS RELEASE: The Malton Leaders Roundtable Report on Improving Community Safety & Security
Mayor Bonnie Crombie hosted a roundtable discussion with community leaders in Malton on Safety and Security in July 2022. The purpose of the meeting was to build a common understanding of the work happening in the Malton community and encourage greater collaboration in addressing security and safety gaps. Attendees included leaders from community-based organizations, local schools, places of worship, Peel Regional Police, school trustees and elected officials.
This Report summarizes presentations from the various representatives and the discussions that ensued on July 14th, 2022. It also provides a list of recommendations as raised during the discussions.
