Mississauga Mayor’s School Cricket Awards Ceremony

WHAT:

Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie, CIMA Chair Michael Lam, and Peel school board officials, will launch the 2017 CGMA School Cricket Tournament in Mississauga and recognize winning school cricket teams and volunteer coaches from the last year’s competition.

The Peel Schools Cricket program was launched in partnership with CIMA in 2014, with a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. The program has helped introduced cricket in over 75 Peel schools. Over 100 young cricketers and volunteer coaches from Mississauga will be in attendance the event,

Joining Mayor Crombie at the ceremony will be Tony Pontes, Director of Education, Peel District School Board, Colin Shaw, Associate Vice President, Internal Audit Services, Canadian Tire Corporation and representatives from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
