Mayor Crombie’s Thanksgiving Statement

“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, I would like to extend my warmest and sincerest best wishes to all residents during this Thanksgiving weekend.

“In Mississauga we have so much to be thankful for. We live in a welcoming and thriving community where people have opportunities to earn an education, raise a family, find a good-paying job, and achieve their dreams.

“As family, friends, and neighbours gather around dining room tables to share in new memories and to celebrate the Thanksgiving season, let us also remember those who are less fortunate.

“Mississauga is a City that cares. We are compassionate and generous people who want to do more, and give back more.

“For these reasons, I encourage everyone to make it a Happy Thanksgiving by donating to the Mayor’s City-Wide Food Drive.

“Drop off non-perishable food donations at any of our 20 local fire stations between now and October 16. This food drive is a partnership made possible with the support of The Mississauga Food Bank and Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services.

“Once again, from my family to yours, have a memorable and Happy Thanksgiving.”
