“I have congratulated Premier-Elect Doug Ford and his 6 new Mississauga MPPs on forming government, and have expressed my willingness to work with them to make strategic investments that will benefit Mississauga and move our City forward.
“Last night we witnessed that all roads to government lead through Mississauga. Mississauga is a dynamic, diverse, and prosperous city with limitless potential. My job as the leader of the “Mississauga Party” is to advocate for our city and ensure we get our fair share of funding and attention from the provincial government.
“I look forward to working with the Premier-Elect to move Mississauga forward to ensure he follows through with his commitments to build transit, including the Hurontario LRT, invest in infrastructure, create jobs, and strengthen the role of cities.
“I will continue to advocate for our City’s priorities to make sure they are at the top of the agenda at Queen’s Park. Whether it’s investing in critical infrastructure, building transit, making housing more affordable, or providing Mississauga with the tools we need to deliver services to residents effectively, we will continue to build on the investments that have already been made. Our Mississauga Matters campaign doesn’t end today.
“I would also like to congratulate the 6 new Mississauga MPPs on their victories last night. I look forward to building relationships with all of them and working together on Mississauga’s priorities.
“To the outgoing MPPs, I extend my sincere thanks for the work they have done for Mississauga, for the investments they have made, and for their ongoing commitment to make our community a better place to live. I wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours.
“To all candidates who put their name on a ballot and stood for what they believe in, I salute you. It takes great courage to run for public office and through this election, you have made our democracy stronger.”
