Mayor Crombie’s Statement About Richard Whitehead
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, I wish to offer my deepest condolences to the family, friends and loved ones of former Caledon and Peel Regional Councillor, Richard Whitehead, who passed away yesterday.
“Richard was a veteran of municipal politics; he had a wealth of local government experience. I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to serve on Peel Council with Councillor Whitehead. He was always a soft-spoken and thoughtful gentleman during our Council deliberations.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Richard’s wife Ruthe, his entire family, and the people of Caledon, as they mourn the loss of a long-time and committed public servant.”
