Mayor Crombie’s Passover Statement
“This evening marks the beginning of Passover which spans a solemn eight day period, for Jewish communities around the world, culminating on April 11th.
“During this time, Jewish families commemorate the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery and their freedom under the leadership of the prophet Moses.
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, I join with all residents observing this most sacred time; may this be a period of enriching reflection, prayer and time with friends, family and loved ones.
“Chag Sameach.”
