Mayor Crombie Welcomes New LAC CEO Natalie Lue
Mississauga – On behalf of Members of Council I would like to congratulate Natalie Lue on being selected as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Living Arts Centre (LAC), Mayor Bonnie Crombie said today during the official announcement.
“This recruitment process for a new CEO was an exhaustive process but the hard work has paid off,” Mayor Crombie said. “Needless to say, we have a new star among us.”
Natalie Lue’s extensive resume and professional experience includes her most recent tenure as Vice President Production and Visitor Experience at the Toronto International Film Festival Group – the world renowned TIFF.
Mayor Crombie added that “Natalie has an impressive background with high profile and significant arts organizations that have enriched and advanced arts communities on the local, national and international stages.”
Mayor Crombie said the City of Mississauga looks forward to working with you and the entire Board of Directors of the LAC as we broaden our views and strive to define Mississauga as a globally significant cultural City.
“The LAC is a local treasure. This world-class facility plays a critical role as a hub of activity for Mississauga’s emerging arts community.”
“The LAC is also fundamental to our efforts to build a thriving livable and walkable downtown core. Duke of York Boulevard which runs past the LAC will be an important part of our twenty kilometer Hurontario Light Rail Transit (LRT).”
“The LRT will make it easier for theatre goers from throughout the Greater Toronto Area to get to Mississauga’s downtown core and enjoy a memorable show at the LAC.”
Mayor Crombie concluded “Let me reiterate once again how excited we are about the future of the LAC under the leadership of Natalie Lieu.
“We look forward to working closely with you and the Board to ensure the LAC’s continued success and a more promising future for our thriving arts community.”
