Mayor Crombie Statement: Hickory Drive Incident Update

This week marks sixth months from when the June 2016 explosion occurred on Hickory Drive in Mississauga. The following is a statement by Mayor Bonnie Crombie:

“There are currently 33 homes still not occupied.

“The Hickory Drive incident remains a police investigation. The Fire Marshall and Peel Regional Police would need to comment on the details of the investigation.

“The team of professionals from the City of Mississauga remain engaged with those families impacted.

“I want to acknowledge the committed first responders, and our local charitable groups and faith communities, who continue to work throughout this Christmas and holiday season to help those impacted families in need of care and support.”
