Mayor Crombie: Nepal Earthquake Statement
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Nepal; India; Bangladesh; Tibet and on Mount Everest.
“Reports confirm that hundreds have lost their lives and that countless others remain missing. This is an unthinkable disaster and the residents of Mississauga mourn for those communities left devastated.
“There are a number of international relief agencies currently soliciting financial support to provide on-the-ground healthcare; food; and shelter for the victims. I encourage Mississaugans to donate their generosity in support of those who have no choice but to start rebuilding their lives.”
