Mayor Crombie Marks Vietnamese New Year 2018
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, we join with Mississauga’s Vietnamese community to celebrate the joyous occasion of Vietnamese New Year.
“Mississauga is home to a vibrant and thriving Vietnamese community. As the Vietnamese community in Mississauga and around the world marks Tet, the Lunar New Year, let us all take this opportunity to remember and reflect on the important contributions that Vietnamese-Canadians have made to communities like Mississauga. Our City is a more inclusive and dynamic place because of these efforts.
“2018 marks the year of the dog. It is said that this animal represents communicative and responsible traits. These are important characteristics that can help guide all of us toward having a more enriching year ahead.
“Once again, let me offer my sincerest best wishes to Mississauga’s Vietnamese community for a happy, healthy and prosperous Tet, Lunar New Year 2018.
“Chúc mừng năm mới.”
