Mayor Crombie Marks Passover 2016
“This evening marks the beginning of Passover which spans a solemn eight day period for the Jewish community.
“During this time, Jewish families commemorate the liberation of the Israelites from Egyptian slavery and their freedom under the leadership of the prophet Moses.
“My best wishes to all those gathering around the seder table as they renew their faith and further seek to understand and appreciate the principles and teachings of Judaism.
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, I join with all residents observing this most sacred time; may this be a period of enriching reflection, prayer and time with friends, family, neighbours and loved ones.
“Chag Pesach Sameach.”
