Mayor Crombie Marks Easter 2016
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, I join with local families, neighbours and all residents to celebrate Easter.
“For Christians throughout Mississauga, and in cities around the world, the Easter season is a most solemn period of devotion and observance as Easter marks the resurrection of Jesus Christ, following his crucifixion on this day, Good Friday.
“During Easter, residents will gather with their faith communities, attend local church services, listen to scripture, reflect on sermons and participate in the singing of hymns.
“I will join with my family over the weekend to observe Easter Mass and reflect on my faith and my own spiritual journey.
“For all those observing Easter, may this be a period of thoughtful, enriching and renewed appreciation of faith.
“My best wishes to all Mississauga families as they gather this Easter to make new and lasting memories together.”
