#CrombieConnects Tonight on Rogers TV Cable 10

Mississauga – #CrombieConnects is another opportunity for me to further engage, inform, and connect with residents about local policy issues, and the decisions that impact their daily lives, Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie said today.

#CrombieConnects is a live, one-hour television show on Rogers TV Cable 10.  It debuts Tuesday February 10th, 2015, from 9:00-10:00PM.

Joining Mayor Crombie on tonight’s first show is Mississauga’s Chief Administrative Officer Janice Baker, and Corporate Services Commissioner Gary Kent, to discuss the City of Mississauga’s 2015 Budget.

“The proposed 2015 Budget is a solid financial blueprint for our thriving city, and our promising future,” Crombie said. “We will discuss the work – and extensive public engagement efforts – that went into building a budget proposal that respects taxpayers’ hard-earned money, while safeguards local investments,” Crombie added.

During each show I look forward to having a member of Council join me, Crombie said, citing that “this will be an opportunity for us to have in-depth conversations about specific neighbourhood and ward issues.”

Ward 2 Councillor Karen Ras, a former Chair of the Mississauga Board of Trade, will join Mayor Crombie tonight to discuss the Sheridan Research Park and efforts to generate economic development opportunities. During the show, both Mayor Crombie and Councillor Ras will take live calls from the public on a variety of local issues.

Crombie concluded, “I want to thank Jake Dheer and the team of professionals from Rogers TV for working with me to launch this new show and to keep all of Mississauga better connected.”

#CrombieConnects airs once a month.  Please check local listings for dates and times.
