Lohri Statement by Mayor Crombie
“On behalf of the City of Mississauga and Members of Council, I would like to offer my best wish to our City’s vibrant, active and engaged Punjabi community, on the joyous occasion of Lohri.
“Lohri is an historic and much anticipated celebration in recognition of the winter solstice. Families, friends and loved ones, in communities throughout the world, will gather around bonfires, and join in traditional song and dance festivities.
“Let me again offer my best wishes to all Mississauga families joining in on Lohri celebrations.”
